Whether we realize it or not, rock n roll and punk music have the strong influence toward our music industry nowadays. Back in 70s when the Pistols performed in front of 13 audiences (later on 24 Hour Party People movie), many bands would follow the Pistols that has been recognized as the first punk band in the universe. Soon, bands like the Buzzcocks, Joy Division, Bauhaus, The Smiths, etc. became the prominent figures in the music industry especially in punk and post-punk culture up until now. They became the blue-print for future bands like Black Flag, Green Police, even Black Sabbath.

Though those early bands have split up and disbanded, the spirit still carried on by present musicians such as The Killers, The Hives, White Stripes, and more to come. Green Police for example, is one of the best garage punk bands that prove how the spirit of punk never really dies. This Claremore Oklahoma based band is a good mix between late 70s punk rock and garage combined with surf music like The Ventures.

Green Police is fronted by Duss Rosencutter (vocals/guitar) and consist of 3 other members. This band had released some straight anthem punk galore although they never reached much popularity now. This one surely a good choice in the middle of one-hit-wonder bands out there.
